About the Role:
As a Youth Care Specialist at PATHWAYS TO PURPOSE, you will play a crucial role in empowering and supporting at-risk youth in Garfield Heights, OH. Join our dedicated team to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people while fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to youth in residential settings.
- Facilitate individual and group activities to promote personal development.
- Monitor and document daily behaviors and progress of youth.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary.
- Maintain a safe and structured environment for all residents.
- Engage in regular training and professional development opportunities.
- Build trusting relationships with youth to encourage positive change.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in social work or related field preferred.
- Experience working with youth, especially in a behavioral health setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- CPR and First Aid certification required; training provided.
- Understanding of trauma-informed care principles.
- Compassionate demeanor with a passion for helping youth succeed.
- Background check required for employment.
